ECOPP03 Puno – Uros – Amantani - Sillustani 4D/3N

Day 1: Puno

ecopp03-puno-uros-amantani-sillustani-4d-1Morning reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Puno. On the way to Puno we will stop for a visit to the interesting Chullpas of Sillustani, towers made from circular stones and used as tombs for the nobles in the pre-Inca times and located on the shores of the solitary Umayo Lake.

Day 2: Puno – Uros - Amantani

ecopp03-puno-uros-amantani-sillustani-4d-2Transfer to the shores of Titicaca Lake and by boat travel to the Uros, the unique floating islands. Here you will see a group of 40 big island-like packs of floating totora (reeds), where Uros Indians continue living like their ancestors, preserving its costumes and idiosyncrasy, but above all, their own system of communal life. Then continue our trip to Amantani Island. Ancient communal way of life will be admired. Overnight in local Family Houses. (B, L, D).

Day 3: Amantani – Taquile - Puno

ecopp03-puno-uros-amantani-sillustani-4d-3After a typical breakfast in a Family House in Amantani, continuing with our fascinating excursion on the Titicaca Lake, we will visit the Taquile Island where still living descendants from the Incas are and they spin some of the finest woven goods in Peru. Afternoon return to the port and transfer to the hotel in Puno. (B, L).

Note: Tour to Uros, Amantani and Taquile Islands is in pool (shared tour with other participants – private tour available at extra cost)

Day 4: Puno – Sillustani – Transfer out.

Breakfast and transfer to the airport, bus/train station or program extension. (B)
