ECOPL02     The Best of Lima        3D/2N

Day 1:    LIMA
Arrival in Lima. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Welcome cocktail and hotel accommodation. Short briefing about next day activities.

Day 2:    LIMA CITY - PACHACAMAC - LIMA
Breakfast. Our tour begins through the colonial town visiting the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, San Francisco Church an it’s impressive "Catacombs". Later on, towards the modern Lima, visit to the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, followed by a visit to the "Gold Museum", which contains some of the world’s most famous gold artifacts of the Inca and pre-Inca civilizations. After lunch, at 32 km drive southwards on the Pan-American Highway will take you to the entrance of the Pachacamac Ruins, an important pre-Inca Sanctuary, where you can explore the Sun and Moon temples built in pyramidal-shape platforms. Drive back to Lima. Hotel. (B)

ECOPL03    Lima – Ica - Nazca – Ballestas  2D/1N

Day 1:    LIMA – NAZCA – ICA
From Lima. Beginning early in the morning we take south direction to over flight  the Nazca Lines. These are one of the greatest mysteries of South America. Giant geometrical lines resembling land strips, intriguing figures such as a condor, monkey spider, etc. Transport to Ica. Hotel accommodation in Ica.

Day 2:    ICA – BALLESTAS – LIMA
Breakfast. Morning visit to the Ballestas Islands, where we will observe sea lions, cormorants, pelicans, gannets an other abundant sea birds together with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean. Visit to Paracas National Reserve. Transport and evening arrival back in Lima. Transfer to the airport/ bus station or program extension. (B).

ECOPL04    Lima – Ica – Nazca – Ballestas        3D/2N

Day 1:    LIMA – ICA
From Lima transport towards Ica. On the way, visit to an artisanal pisco and wine factory. Arrival to Ica. Hotel accommodations. Free afternoon.

Day 2:    ICA – NAZCA – ICA

Breakfast. Early in the morning we´ll drive in south direction to overfly throughout the world famous Nazca Lines,one of the greatest mysteries of South America. If weather conditions allow, we will also over flight The Aqueducts. Visit the Nazca Artisanal and Cultural Center and also observe handicrafts in ceramic, some copies of the original Huacos. Transport back to the hotel in Ica. (B).

Day 3:    ICA – BALLESTAS – PARACAS
Breakfast. Morning visit to the Ballestas Islands, where we will observe sea lions, cormorants, pelicans, gannets an other abundant sea birds together with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean. Afterwards visit to the Paracas National Reserve and the Julio C. Tello Museum. Late afternoon arrival back in Lima. Transfer to the airport/ bus station or program extension. (B).

Lima Optional Tours

ECOPL05    Lima City Tour       31/2 hrs.

Within this three hour tour, first we will drive you to the colonial town visiting the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, San Francisco Church an its impressive "Catacombs". Afterwards we will head towards the modern Lima, the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores visiting Huaca Huallamarca, a pre-Inca pyramid, and finally ending our tour in Larcomar, a modern entertainment center with a splendid view of the Pacific Ocean.

ECOPL06    Lima Gold Museum                3 hrs.

Visit to the Gold Museum, one of the biggest private collections in the world, which contains some of the most impressive objects of the pre-Inca and Inca cultures gold jewellery and ceremonial objects of the Paracas, Chavin, Nazca, Moche and Inca cultures, together with beautiful collection of weapons, textiles and uniforms.

ECOPL07    Pachacamac Ruins            41/2 hrs.

At 32 km. southward on the Pan-American Highway this tour will take you to the entrance of the Pachacamac Ruins. Pachacamac was the God, the creator of the universe and adored by the ancestral Andean people. These ruins are one of the most important pre-Inca Sanctuaries located near Lima, and where you can explore the Sun and Moon temples built in pyramidal-shaped platforms. This entire place is considered a sacred site and part of the mystic shaft of the earth. This tour also includes a visit to Barranco, a traditional village of Lima, visit to Costa Verde and Los Pantanos de Villa with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.

ECOPL08     Larco Herrera Museum        3hrs.

This archaeological museum was founded in 1926 and contains the world’s largest private collection of pre-Columbian art. A complete and didactic view of the culture development of the ancient Peru and the erotic ceramic. Holds nearly 45,000 pieces housed in a Colonial building from the 18th century.

ECOPL09    National Archaeology, Anthropology and History Museum 3 hrs.

Here we will observe the Peruvian civilization from pre-historic times. San Martin and Bolivar, two of the greatest heroes of America lived in this house. The collection contains furniture, paintings and clothing together with the Tello Obelisk of the Chavin culture and the Raimondi Wake.

ECOPL10    Lima City Tour & Gold Museum     4 hrs.

Morning drive to the colonial town to visit the Plaza de Armas and the San Francisco Church with its impressive "Catacombs". Afterwards we head towards the modern Lima, the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores in our way to visit the world famous Gold Museum of Lima.
