ECOPL03 Lima – Nazca – Ica - Ballestas (2D/1N)

Day 1: Lima – Nasca - Ica

Starting early in the morning (around 4 a.m.) from Lima we drive south towards the city of Nasca where we will arrive at about midday. As soon as we arrive in Nasca we go to the airport for the Nasca Lines over-flight (for about 35 minutes). These are one of the greatest mysteries of South America. Giant geometrical lines resembling land strips, intriguing figures such as a condor, monkey spider, etc. After lunch in Nasca we will visit to the local museum and then transport you to the city of Ica where we visit 2 vineyards to observe the industrial and artisanal manufacturings of wine and the famous pisco liquor. Hotel accommodations in Ica.

Day 2: Ica – Ballestas - Lima

Breakfast and transfer to the dock of Paracas located at the shores of the Pacific Ocean and northwest of Ica. A boat will take us to visit the Ballestas Islands (for about 2 hours), where we will have the opportunity to observe sea lions, cormorants, pelicans, gannets an other abundant sea birds together with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean. Visit to the beautiful Paracas National Reserve and to the interpretation center (Regional Museum). After lunch transport back to Lima where we will arrive late in the afternoon. Transfer to the airport, bus station or program extension. B.
