Lake Land. Otavalo 2D/1N
Starting
from Quito
Day
1.
On our way to the indigenous market of Otavalo, we will have our first stop at
Calderón Village were the “masapan” figures are very famous, then we’ll visit
Cotacachi town, famous for its leather clothes, where are plenty of opportunities
to shop. Then the next stop is going to be Cuicocha Lagoon and afterwards we
will go to San Antonio de Ibarra town with it´s nice wood crafts, then we will
visit the village of Peguche, where there is a nice waterfall with the same name
and we could have the opportunity to visit the andean music instrument fabric.
Afterwards, arrive to our hotel in Otavalo.
Day
2.
The next day our tour begins with an early morning visit to the animal
market. After breakfast, we will take you to Otavalo’s main market.
After lunch, you will be able to visit the beautiful Mojanda Lakes before
we begin our return journey, heading firstly to Cayambe and El Quinche,
before we arrive in Quito in the late afternoon. (B)

ECH02 El Angel Ecological Reserve & Otavalo 3D/2N
Starting
from Quito
Day
1:
From Quito we drive north towards the indigenous market of Otavalo. Our first
stop is in Calderón village were the famous “masapan” figures are produced.
Once in Imbabura Province we’ll also visit the beautiful Cuicocha Lagoon and
the town of Cotacachi, famous for its leather clothes and where are plenty of
opportunities to shop, then we will visit the village of Peguche, where we have a
nice waterfall with the same name and we could have the opportunity to visit
the Andean music instrument fabric. Hotel accommodation in Otavalo.
Day
2:
We start early morning with a car ride on a paved road to El Angel Ecological
Reserve. The drive takes us
through mountains and valleys ornate with typical Andean Villages. The
reserve is home of an incredible diversity of fauna and special “Paramo”
flora, such as the spectacular fields of Frailejones, which resemble
a botanical army. On our way we’ll also pass the Voladero Lake, where
we’ll stop and have a delicious box lunch. Hotel accommodation in Otavalo.
Day
3:
In the morning we will visit the famous Otavalo Indian market. After
lunch we will visit the beautiful Mojanda Lakes, then we will continue
south to the city of Cayambe to try the famous salt biscuits “biscochos”
and finally we’ll be arriving in Quito late in the afternoon.

ECH03 Southern
Highlands 3D/2N
Starting
from Quito
Day
1.
From Quito we travel south along the “Panamericana” Highway to Cotopaxi
National Park, where you’ll have the opportunity to admire snow-capped
Cotopaxi, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. Stay overnight in a
charming local hacienda (BL).
Day
2.
On the second day of our tour, we’ll travel through Zumbahua highland,
one of the most charming and unspoiled highlands of Ecuador and visit
on our way the little village of Tigua, were a famous indigenous technique
has been developed to make the special “tigua paintings”. Then we’ll
keep our journey till the volcanic lagoon of Quilotoa. In the afternoon
we’ll arrive in Baños, a picturesque town located at the gateway to
the jungle, where we will stay overnight.(B).
Day
3.
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Riobamba, continuing to San Juan and
then to the upper highlands of Chimborazo, Ecuador’s highest volcano.
Here it is possible to observe graceful vicuñas and we will have time
to admire this impressive mountain. If the weather permits and the passengers
are in good shape perhaps we can do a walk up to the Whymper refuge
at 5000 m. We’ll then drive back to Quito. (B, BL).

ECH04 The Avenue
Of The Volcanoes 5D/4N
Starting
from Quito
Day
1.
On the first day of our tour, we’ll travel to the market town of Otavalo. On
the way we’ll visit Cotacachi town, famous for its leather clothes, Cuicocha
Lake and San Antonio de Ibarra, then we
will visit the village of Peguche. Overnight in our hotel in Otavalo.
Day
2.
The second day of our tour begins with an early morning visit to the

before arriving at our hotel in a charming hacienda near to Machachi

3.
After breakfast we’ll drive towards Cotopaxi National Park to admire
Cotopaxi, described as one the highest active volcanoes in the world.
In the late afternoon we’ll continue our journey to Baños town and we
will stay the night in a local hotel. (B,BL).
Day
4.
On the fourth day of our tour, we’ll drive east following the road towards
the jungle, which runs along the impressive Pastaza Canyon. Here we
will have the opportunity to visit “El Pailón del Diablo” waterfall
before returning to Baños and then continuing towards Riobamba. Hotel
overnight. (B, BL).
Day
5.
On the fifth day of our tour, we will begin our return journey to Quito.
On the way back we visit Chimborazo’s Carrel Refuge, where we’ll have
impressive views of Ecuador’s largest and highest mountains. Enjoy beautiful
views of the amazing Chimborazo highlands where we can find gracious
vicuñas. (B).

1.
On the first day of our tour, we’ll travel to Otavalo. On the way we’ll visit

2.We’ll
set off towards Cotopaxi National Park early in the morning, to admire
the beautiful snow-capped volcano along the way. Overnight

Day
3: In the morning we will drive south to visit the Zumbagua highlands, a beautiful
Paramo area where we will find the impressive Quilotoa Crater Lagoon.
This is the land of the Ecuadorian naive painters. Afterwards, transport
to Baños, a charming tow on the upper basin of the Amazonas Rainforest.

Day
4: After breakfast we’ll drive east we’ll drive east following the road towards
the jungle, which runs along the impressive Pastaza Canyon . We will
enjoy a short walk on the cloudy forest and admire the “Devil Catle”
waterfall. In the late afternoon we’ll continue our journey to Riobamba
and we will stay overnight in a local hacienda. (B,BL).
Day
5. (Wed/Fri/Sun). On this day, you’ll have the opportunity to travel down
the famous “Devil’s Nose” by train. We’ll head to the village of Alausí, enjoying
spectacular mountain views on the way. From Alausí we’ll travel south to
Cuenca, visiting the ruins of the Inca fortress “Ingapirca” on route. We’ll stay overnight in the enchanting city
of Cuenca (B, BL).
Day
6.
The last day begins with a morning tour in the city of Cuenca. We will
then fly back to Quito in the afternoon.(B).

ECH06 Podocarpus
National Park & Vilcambamba Valley 3D/2N
Starting
from Cuenca
Day 1: Drive South from Cuenca to Loja, located in
the south-eastern province of Ecuador, passing by Saraguro´s village. (almost
four hours from Cuenca) . Arrive in the beautiful city of Loja (2100 m), the
first ecological city in the world and from where some famous Ecuadorian poets
and writers come from. Continue your drive to the Sacred Valley of Vilcabamba,
also known as the “Longevity Valley” due to the old age that most of the
inhabitants easily reach (over 100 years of age). On the road see the plantations of corn and sugar cane fields,
fruit orchards and cattle pastures, very close to arrival at Podocarpus National
Park. Overnight in a local
Hostería. (L)
Day
2: After breakfast,
start the day visiting Podocarpus National Park,, famous for its high
number of endemic species, found nowhere else; apparently because the
complex topography combines with a mixture of Andean and Amazon weather
that causes unique microclimates throughout the park. There are up to
90 different tree species, including three species of the park’s namesake
genus, “Podocarpus” (Ecuador’s only native species of conifer tree).
There are also Andean spectacled bears, mountain tapirs, pumas, deer
and Andean foxes, among others. Box lunch is included.
In the
afternoon return to Vilcabamba to overnight at Hotel. (B)
Day 3:
After breakfast return to Loja
and continue your journey back to Cuenca. (B)
