ECOBL02 Copacabana-Titicaca Lake 2D/1N
Day 1: LA
PAZ-COPACABANA
Our tour starts from your hotel in La Paz and will drive
you towards Copacabana town. Arrival
and hotel accommodation. After lunch transport to visit the Virgen Morena,
El Calvario Hill and the village. Return to the hotel.
Day 2: COPACABANA-TITICACA LAKE (SUN ISLAND)
Breakfast. Transfer
to the port, from where we will navigate towards the Sun Island.
Here we can appreciate the famous Inca Fountain and be in contact
with the inhabitants of Yumani. Light one-hour trek along the hills
and descend to Pilcocaïna archaeological site for lunch. Return to Copacabana
to take our transport back to La Paz. Arrival and transfer to your hotel,
airport, bus/train station or program extension.(B, L).

Tiwanaku - Moon and Sun Islands Copacabana 3D/2N
Day 1:
LA PAZ – TIWANAKU - PTO. PEREZ
Departure from your Hotel in La Paz for an overland trip of 70 km towards
the archaeological site of Tiwanaku (3000 B.C.- 600 A.C.) Visit of the
temples of Kalasaya, Akapana, Underground, Gate of the Sun, Puma Punku
and the museum. Box lunch on site. Afternoon transfer along the Royal
Andean Mountain Range to Puerto Perez on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Overnight at Hotel Las Balsas with unique Andean sunset. (L)
Day
2: PUERTO PEREZ - MOON ISLAND - SUN ISLAND:
Cruise over Lake Titicaca in front of the Andean Range with stop at Suriqui
Island. Cruise through Tiquina's straight and stop to visit the archaeological
site on Moon Island. Cruise to Sun Island and visit to the Inca step, fountain and archaeological site of Pilcokaina. Light trek to reach
Yumani and overnight at Hotel La Estancia (or similar). (B, L)
Day 3: COPACABANA - LA PAZ
Cruise to Copacabana and visit to La Basilica, the Incas
observatory and bath. Lunch
in a local restaurant. Afternoon overland return on the panoramic road
to La Paz and transfer to the hotel, bus, train station or airport. (B,L).

ECOBL04 Coroico and Yungas Valley 2D/1N
Day 1: ANDEAN SCENERY - COROICO
Departure from your hotel in La Paz and overland to cross the Andean Mountain
Range at 4700 m before descending to the sub-tropical surrounding valley
of the Yungas, discovering the various ecological steps of the vegetation
and culture of South America. Arrival at
Coroico, capital of the North Yungas and visit the plantations
of coffee, citric fruits, tobacco, cocoa, flowers. Overnight at Coroico
in a small resort hotel. (L).
Day 2: COROICO
– LA PAZ
Departure from the Hotel for another overland day through the coca leaves
plantations crossing the villages of Coripata, Puente Villa and return
to La Paz along the South Yungas Valley. Arrival and transfer to the
hotel, bus or train station, airport. (B,L).

La Paz Optional Tours
ECOBL05 City Tour and Moon Valley 4
hours
City tour in La Paz, visit the famous Mercado de Brujas
(Witch’s Market), San Francisco Church, and tour continue until the
Murillo Main Square, where the Cathedral, Government Palace and the
National Congress are located. After
this, we will visit the colonial street of Jaén, where several museums
are located. The tour will continue through the well-known residential
areas of La Paz such as Obrajes, Calacoto and La Florida finally arriving
to the great and imposing Moon valley.

ECOBL06 Tiwanaku Ruins
Half day
Drive approximately 70 km. from the centre of La Paz
towards Tiwanaku, perhaps the most important archaeological site in
Bolivia. Here we can observe
the Akapana and Kalasasaya temples, Keri Kala and Puma Punku, gates
of the Sun and the Moon, and the agricultural hydraulic systems and other
important relics still there as evidences of the ancestral ceremonial
centre of the Tiwanaku Empire.

ECOBL07 Mount Chacaltaya Sky resort Half
day
Morning transport to the Chacaltaya Mountain with it’s
highest summit reaching 5,395 m. where we find the highest Sky Resort
in the world. From a panoramic
point we can enjoy wonderful views of the Titicaca Lake, La Paz city
and all the surrounding mountains such as the Illimani, Huayna Potosi
and many others. (BL).

ECOBL08 La Paz - Titicaca Lake - Suriki Island Half day
Daily 7:30 a.m.:
departure from your hotel and 70 km trip along the Royal Andean
Mountain Range to Puerto Perez, Lake Titicaca. Cruise to Suriqui Island
and visit to the workshop of the reed boats builders, who have
constructed,
the vessels of Thor Heyerdal's expeditions. Return to Puerto Pérez and
then to La Paz. Arrival around 13h00 p.m.

ECOBL09 La Paz - Titicaca Lake – Suriqui - Kalahuta
Full Day
Daily 7:30 a.m. Departure from your hotel and 70 km drive along the Royal Andean Mountain Range to Puerto Perez on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Cruise to Suriqui Island and visit to the workshop of the reed boat builders, who have constructed the vessels of Thor Heyerdal's expeditions. Cruise to Kalahuta Island to visit the archaeological site and walk around the bay among an impressive Andean panorama. Return to Puerto Perez for a delicious fish lunch at Hotel Las Balsas. Drive back to La Paz.

Drive for about 3 hours from La Paz to visit the subtropical valley of the Yungas. On the way we will appreciate several natural sceneries, crossing a chain of mountains which will decrease and be cover with different vegetation and plantations of tobacco, cocoa, coca, sugar and several fruits.
