AABJ01          Noel Kempff National Park 12D/11N

 

The Noel Kempff Mercado National Park, in north-eastern Bolivia, spans over 1.5 million hectares (over 3.7 million acres) and is one of the biologically most diverse areas in the world.

 

Day 1: Flight from La Paz to Santa Cruz. Transfer to your hotel. (D)

Day 2: Excursion to the Samaipata archeological site. Return to Santa Cruz. Hotel (B,L,D)

Day 3: Journey from Santa Cruz to San Xavier. Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 4: We drive by car to the Kempff National Park camping site. Camp. (B,L,D)

Day 5 & 6: Deep exploration of the National Park. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Trip to the tropical town of San Ignacio. Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Morning excursion to the Jesuit mission and afterwards return to San Ignacio. Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Return to San Xavier. Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 10: Trip to Santa Cruz. Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Transfer to the airport and flight to La Paz. Hotel. (B)

AABJ02          Trekking in the Amazon Jungle     10D/9N

 

Day 1: Rurrenabaque. Afternoon departure from La Paz to Rurrenabaque at the shores of the Beni River. Driving time takes 16 hours. Otherwise you may fly from La Paz to Rurrenabaque  (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday). Hotel. (D)

Day 2: Yariapo. Once in Rurrenabaque we continue travelling by car another 3 hours to the town of Tumupasa. This is where the trek starts. Camp at the shores of the Yariapo River. (B,L,D)

Day 3: San Jose. After 5 hours trek we arrive at the paradise town of San José, where time has stood still. Camp or lodging. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Yariapo. Half day for exploring San José. After lunch and a 5-hour trek we arrive to our next camp on the shores of the Yariapo River. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Along the Yariapo. We will cross the river several times, which gives us the opportunity to observe different animal species. Camp. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Along the Yariapo. This day there will have the opportunity to fish on the way to our next camp on the shores of Yariapo. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Chalalan. We trek away from the Yariapo and trek into the jungle and arrive at Lake Chalalan. Camp. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Day at leisure in Chalalan. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Water rafting and fun. Return to Rurrenabaque. Hotel (B,L,D)

Day 10: Return to La Paz (by flight or bus). (B).
